CHUROH PSALMODY. (To the Editor.)

Sir, — A few gentlemen desirous of rendering the singing in the church here a more agreeable feature in the service than it has been for many months past, have for the last month or two met together twice a week for practice. Their efforts in the direction indicated have afforded a deal of Satisfaction to many church goers, but are to a certain extant marred by the action of one who, when present, bawls (he calls it singing, I call it bawling) out, and effectually drowns the voice of the leader of the choir. This person has been remonstrated with, but to no purpose. If his conduct is not put a stop to, people will remain away from church. I will for one, as the discord created is more than I can put up with. I am not the only one the gentleman referred to annoys. I hope some friend will direct his attention to this, and that he will have the good sense to give up trying to lead the singing, and thus save mo the troiible of writing to you again and supplying the gentleman's name. — I am, &c, Harmony. Waitahuna, June 16th.
