(To the Editor.)

Sib, — I notice in a recent issue of your paper a letter commenting on the unsatisfactory manner in which the mail service between Beaumont and Switzcrs is carried. Now, in justice to the contractor (Mr. A. Mafcheson), 1 beg to state that in my opinion, and I may say the opinion of most of the residents here, ho deserves gieat credit for the punctual manner in which the mail has been delivered for the last three years. Instead of tho mail being late, it is nearly always an hour, and very often an hour and a half, before the contract time. — I am, <fee,, One Who Believes In Fair Plat.
