WAITAHUNA ELECTION.
The election of a member for this place took place on Monday. The excitement was. very mild, as Mr. G. F. O. Browne was considered to have ifc all his own way. There were three candidates in the field, and the result of tho polling placed them as follows .*— G. F. 0. Browne 63 J. E. Henley - - - 37 John Mackay 26
