At Tumberumba, New South Vales, during the long illness of the Miring Registrar, a helpful wife fulfilled te duties for him, and did this so much it the satisfaction of the local mining emmunity that a petition was sent to the Minister requesting that she might be .llowed to retain the office, whichpetition .as beengranted.
