CONSOLATION HANDICAP of 30 soys ; for all beaten horses ; distance, 1^ mile ; entrance, £1 10s. EULES AND REGULATIONS. Mares and geldings allowed 31bs. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. No person shall be allowed to enter or run a horse for any race in this Programme (post entry races excepted) unless the latter be qualified as the bona fide property of a subscriber to the Eace Fund of not less than two guineas. Entries to be received by the Secretary, at his office, Peel-street, Lawrence, up to nine p.m. on Wednesday, 19th February. Entrance money, enclosed with name, age, and pedigree (if any) of the horse, and name of owner and colours of the rider. Any Jockey riding except in the colours entered will be fined £2. Five per cent, will be deducted frotn the gross amount of all stakes, for expenses. Horses walking over will receive 50 per ceni. of the stakes. The Tuapeka Jockey Club Bules will be strictly enforced. /■ Parties entering protests wil! require to deposit ono guinea. If protest should bo sustained, the guinea to be returned.
