PUBLICANS' HANDICAP of 50 soys. ; distance, If mile. Nominations, with 1 guinea enclosed, to be received up to 9 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 11th February, 1873. Weights to be declared in Tuapeka Times of the ]3th, and the "Otago Daily Times " of the loth February. Acceptances, with 2 guineas enclosed, to be received by the Secretary befor, 10 p.m. on Tuesday, 18th February. (The winner of the Lawrence Handicap to carry 4lb. penalty in this race.) CONSOLATION HANDICAP of 30 soys ; for all beaten horses ; distance, l£ mile ; entrance, £1 10s. EULES AND EEG-ULATIONS. Mares and geldings allowed 3lbs. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. No person shall be allowed to enter or run a horse for any race in this Programme (post entry races excepted) unless the latter be qualified as the bona fide property of a subscriber to the Eace Fund of not less than two guineas. Entries to be received by the Secretary, at his office, Peel-street, Lawrence, up to nine p.m. on "Wednesday, 19th February. Entrance money, enclosed with name, age, and pedigree (if any) of the horse, and name of owner and colours of the rider. Any Jockey riding except in the colours entered will be fined £2. Eive per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes, for expenses. * Horseß walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. The Tuapeka Jockey Club Eules will be strictly enforced. Parties entering protests will require to deposit one guinea. If protest should be sustained, the guinea to be returned. ¥M. HAVES, Secretary.
