All care taken, but no responsibility. Lord Paisley was bred T>y John Barr, Esq., Clutha, and is a beautiful black, rising six years old, and slands 16 hands 2 inches high. His sire, Lord Paisley, was imported by R. Miller, Esq., Taieri, 1864. Dam, the mare Blanch, imported by David Wishart, Esq., fiom Tasmania, took the first prizes at several society shows, viz. , Dunedin, Taieri Tokomairiro, and Clutha for the best man of symmetry in the yards. Lord Paisey gained the first prize at the Clutha Sodety Show, in 1868, and the first at Tokoma'riro the same year, for the best three yar old entire colt at his age. He also obtained the silver medal at Tokomairiro Show, in 1869, for the best colonial hoisein the yard, and has proved himself a sub foal-getter. Young Glasgow Geordy is 3 years old, stands 16 hands 3in. high, is 8 bright bay, with black points, has a beautiful flat bone, and is of immense strength. He is out of the imported Clydesdale mare Young Pride, imported from Tasmania, the property of Philip Mylret, Esq. Glasgow Geordie, his sire, was bred by Mr. Andrew Warnock, Bearyirds, Bishopbriggs, near Glasgow, out of his prize mare Maggie, wh >se stock lave all been | prize-takers at ca'.tle shows in and around Glasgow, and have all sold it high prices. His sire wa* the well-known horse Champion, was bred by Mr. Fleming, Auchenbowii j , Kilmacombe, out of a celebrated piize mare. He gained prizes as a colt at aim >st every show in Lanarkshire. When four years old he gained the first prize of £40 and a silver medal at Glasgow, where 28 horses competed ; when five years old he gained the first prize of £40 and a medal at Gatehouse, O'Fleet ; also the same year he gained the tirst prize of £30 at the Highland Society's Show, Dumfries ; when six years old he gained the first prize of £40 and medal at Gatehouse, O'Fleet ; when seven years old he gained the first prize of £40 at Glasgow ; and same year he gained the medium gold medal at the Highland Society's Show at Kelso, being then outlawed from other than extra stock ; also, first prise of £50 at Carlisle, and second at the Great International Exhibition, London, in the year 1862 ; thus leaving him to be descended from the best blood in the kingdom. Glasgow Geordy, as a colt, gained prizes at the following Phows : — Maryhill, Kirkintulloch. Bishopbriggs, and JohnsI town ; and since landing in Otago, first prize at Tokomairiro, Taieri, and Dunedin. Terms, £3 10s. ; Groom's Fee, ss.
