Young Wallace is a dark dapple bay, stands 16J hands high, is six years old, and is by the imported horse Sir William Wallace, out of a pure-bred Clydesdale mare. Young Wallace has proved himself a sure foal getter ; and his stock in the Tuapeka district are very promising. Young Emperor is by Emperor, out of an imported Clydesdale mare, the property of James Patterson, Esq., M.L.C., Lovell's Flat. He is a bright dapple bay, rising five years old, 16£ hands high, is perfectly quiet, has fine action, superior bone, and great muscular power ; and took the first prize at the Tokomairiro Show as a yearling. Emperor, the sire of Young Emperor, is out of Nancy, bred by Alexander Findlay, Esq., Sandyhills, near Glasgow. Nancy was got by the celebrated Garvary Horse, and her dam by Scotsman, the property of James Kirkwoods, Kilmaurs. Nancy was first shown as a three year old, and got first prize at Hamilton, first at Bailleston, second at Glasgow, and second at Kilbride. She was uext shown as a brood mare at Glasgow and Kilbride, where she received similar honors. His sire is the well known imported horse Napoleon, whose Stock is not excelled in the province. Emperor is of great strength, and compactly built. He has proved himself a Bure foal-getter, and his Stock is of a superior description. Emperor was shown at Dunedin when a two-year-old, when he received second prize as the best horse iof any age, his 3ire . being first ; and firsjb prize for the best two-year-old. He ; has also been shown at Oamaru and West Taieri, and each time a successful competitor. Terms, L 3 ; Groomage, os.
