THE OPERA COMPANY.

The Opera Company was to open in the Choral Hall, Auckland, on the 19th. The English portion of the company has not, as was iutended,'come to this Colony ; but the company has nevertheless, been materially strengthened. The addition of the charming prime donne, Signore Bosisio and Robiildi, and Signor Gamboa, ought to make it the strongest organisation we have seen here. The company knows not Grandi, that pr".nce of opera bouffe, nor Tonrnerie, whose Figaro in the Barber of Seville" will not be easily forgotten. The arrangements for the first week are sketched in a private letter to a gentleman in this office ; and as the same rate will be followed here} we give them* — Opening, "Lucia de liammermoor ; second nighfc, "Luerezia Borgia;" third, "Faust;" fourth, "Un Ba.lo in Maschcra ;'" fifth, " Norrna ;" Bixtb, Meyerbeer's " L'^fricaine." The company will leaye Auckland on the Ist of December, play two weejks in' Nelson, two weekij ;n Wellington, three weeks in Christchurch, and prqeeed' thence to Duned n, where they expect tp arrive about the middle of January. They leavp Auckland so soon because of Chiarini's Circus, which is expected in that city by the Dacotoh. Mr Cai»li has brought over with him this time twelve choristers— six mules and six females.
