CORRESPONDENCE.

THE WAIPORI REEF. (To the Editor.)

Sir, — I beg to contradict Iho statement of " A Waipori Correspondent" that- appeared in your issue of tlie 1-ith inst. • He states the O.P.Q. Cm. " have sunk about 20ft. deeper and that the reef has been lost.". Tour correspondent '.vas evidently short of news, or he would not have had to make such an extensive draw on his imagination.. We have sunk 27 feet and got the reef at that level ; since then we have bceu cutting the chambers, and have not started to drive yet. Should "A Wiipori Correspondent " at any future time require a local in reference to the O.P.Q. Heef, I will bo happy to supply him with -facts. — I remain, yours &c, E. Webb, Manager. "^aipori, Nov. 18.
