Sib, — In a paper read before the Otago Institute some time since, Mr. Thomson is reported to have stated that the Otago sluice head is equal to ninetyfive cubic feet of water per minute. Would you or any of your readers be so good as to inform me, through your columns, by what mode of calculation tbat result is arrived at. — I am, &c,
