PORT CHALMERS.
Wednesday. The barque GlenGoe, for Hobartown, was to-day towed down from Dunedin to sea, by the p.s. Geelong. The s.s. Maori took her departure {this morning for Lyttelton, via intermediate ports. The s.s. Storm Bird was this forenoon placed into the Floating Dock to receive the usual periodical overhaul. The s.s. Omeo for Northern ports sailed last evening, but unfortunately met with ao accident to her rudder, through coming into contact with the shore off Observation Point, whilst backing out from the hulks. On ascertaining that the rudder was injured, Captain Calder anchored his ship for the night inside, off b obartown Point, and this morning returned to Port. The s.s. Taranaki being in the Graving Dock will cause an additional day's detention to the Omeo, she having to wait until the Taranaki leaves the dock before she can enter for repairs.
