THE BRADSHAW REQUISITION (To the Editor.)
Sib, — A letter enquiring the fate of this requisition, signed " Min r r," appeared in your issue of the 14th inst. Allow me to state that the requisition has been duly forwarded to Mr. Bradshaw, signed by 264 electors of Wakaia and Mount Benger, accompanied by the following letter : —
Roxburgh, 6th Jan., 1872. To J. B. Bradshaw, Esq.,M.II.R. M.P.C., Dunedin.
Sir, — As chairman of a public meeting held at Roxburgh on the sth October last, and in accordance with a unanimous resolution passed thereat, to the effect that you no longer retain the confidence of your constituents, I now beg to hand you a requisition, bearing 264 signatures of electors of Mount Benger and Wakaia districts.
The requisition would have been forwarded to you at least a month earlier, had it not been that a sheet containing several names had for a time gone astray in transmission by post.
I may mention that it ia intended to publish the requisition, together with your reply thereto, awaiting which, I remain, Sir, Your most obedient servant,
