BEAUMONT RACES.

The Beaumont annual races took place on Tuesday last. The attendance, although fair, was not so large as anticipated, owing, no doubt, to the threatening state of the weather, and the fancy fair and banquet taking place the previous evening. The racing was exceedingly good, and gave unmixed satisfaction. Mr. R. Lancaster had a refreshment booth on the ground, which was well patronised, as also was Mrs. Rogers' tea and coffee startcl. . Mr. Bastings officiated as judge inyW^ual satisfactory manner, and Mr. M^Le^Hw^tSrter was all that could be desired, as also was Mr. Kodgers as clerk of the course. The following are the results of the racing : — Maiden Plate, of 15 soys. ; one mils and a half ; weight for age. Young Swindle . , . .1 Wallaby . . . . .2 Dick V , , . .3 Jackamarv also started.
