BEAUMONT & TUAPEKA WATER RACE COMPANY.
A meeting of the shareholders of the above company was held on Friday, the 2nd instant. Present : Messrs. Grieve, Monaghan, Cnrry, Bryan, Hinde, King, M'Laug'hlin, Morrison, Graham, and Hayes (Secretary). The preliminary business being disposed of, The Secretary read the Schedule of Regulations prescribing the mode of applying for advances of money under the Immigration and Public Works Act Amendment Act On the motiou of Mr. Grieve, seconded by Mr, Mouaijhan, the Secretary was directed to register the Company, and to conform to all other rules made by the Government. On the motion of Mr. Curry, seconded by Mr, Graham, the Secretary was instructed to apply to the Government through the Warden for the aura of £2000 for the completion of the race. The Government requiring information as to charges for water proposed to be made, the following s^ale was drawn up : — For 50 inches of water, per week, eight hours each day : Between the hours of 8 a.m.. and4p,m,, £3; from 4 p.m. till 12 p.m., £2 ; from 12 p.m. till 8 a.m., £1 10s. The meeting then adjourned.
