EVANS FLAT.
(From a Correspondent.)
On Wednesday, the 2-ith ult., I had the pleasure of bein£ present sit a lecture delivered by the Rev. H. Bull, on the first fifteen verses of the 9th chapter of Romans. The rev. gentleman handled the subject in a. most masterly style, quoting from the original Greek and other languages, showing the plain and simple meaning of the points he illustrated, and pointing out the enormous.errors that many had fallen into on the question of election, and various other points connected with the chapter. I may state that it has not fallen to my lot for some time to hear a more straightforward discourse.
The ground connected with the chapel has lately been enclosed, and the School Committee have by public subscription made additional improvements for the day school, which is at present held in the chapel, until such time as a building is erected. The site for the school has been fixed upon, and I have been informed that the third application to the Board of Education is successful. Better late than
I was last week shown a very excellent photograph of the Wesleyan Chapel and the children attending the day school. Thirty-one copies of the samo were disposed of in the district and at the Blue Spur.
