AUSTRIA AND ITALY.
The Gastein Conference agreed upon tbe taking of energetic measures for tbe repression of the Internationale. Italy refuses to co-operate in the matter.
The Austrian Ministry resigned at the request of the Emperor, and Count Yon Beust has been appointed Austrian Ambassador in London.
The Italian Government , contemplates fortifying tbe Alpine passes. The Cardinals held a meeting, at which they advised the Pope to quit Rome.
A Papal allocution has been pub lished, repudiating Italy's guarantee, and protesting againsc the invasion of Rome. It also condemns Dr. Dolrnger and others for warring with the (Ecumenical Council.
