George Heaps, Duke of Edinburgh Hotel, Beaumont, to Thomas Higgs. — Granted. Richard Williams, for Victoria Hotel, Lawrence, General and Night License. — Granted. J. 0. Arbuckle, for a Wholesale License for store in feel-street. — Granted. William Houston applied for a Bottle License for a store at Manuka Greek. The police objected, as there was a publichouse in the immediate neighbourhood, and there was no necessity for it. The Bench remarked that as the signatures to the application were those of non-residents, they would adjourn the case for 14 days, so that they might be satisfied that the license was required. Jane Medwin to Thomas Ilinde. The Bench remarked that under the application they could not grant the transfer, but if Mr. Hinde would send the present license to Dunedin along with the money, he woidd get the license at once. The Bench would inform the Government of the nature of the case.
