Messrs. Wright, Stephensok and Co. report for the week ending 25th November, as follows :: — ■
Fat Cattle. — 85 head were yarded. 25 head, which were no better than stores, Vere turned out unsold. Good quality brought 22s 6d per lOOlbs ; middling do, 18s to 20s.
Fat Sheep, — 500 were penned, which sold as follows : 200 merino wethers in wool, middling quality, at 10s 3d. each; 300. do. ewes do, at 7s 6d. We also sold privately 200 merinos, shorn, at 2d per lb r 200 half-breds, do, 2£d ; 20U half* breds in wool, 3£d. These prices may be taken as present market rates. Fat lambs are worth from 7s to 8s each.
Store Cattle.— Wo have still enquiries for well-grown sheers, which we quote at L3 to L 3 10s ; mixed lots, at 40s to 455.
Store Sheep. — Half-breds and merino wethers are in demand, but we hear of no transactions. We have placed two lots' under offer". We quote half-breds, 2 and 4- tooth, shorn, 5s 6d to 6s ; merino wethers, 4, 6, and 8-tooth, in wool, 8s to
Horses. — The demand for draughts has slackened a little, but good upstanding light harness horses are in request. We quote iirst-clasa draughts, LSO to L6O ; medium do, L3O to i.35 ; good hacks and light harness horses, LlB to L2O ; middling do, LlO to Ll4 ; light and inferior, L4 to L7.
Grain. — Wheat, of which very few good samples are offering, may be quoted at 5s to 5s 3d ; infei-ior, 43 to 4a 6d. Oats — Limited sale ; milling samples are worth 2s 3d ; feed, 2s to 2s Id, according to quality. Barley— Good malting samples saleable at 3a 9J to 43 ; feed, 2s per bushel.
