A iire occurred in San Francisco on September 23rd, -which destroyed ihe wholesale stores of Messrs. Reddington, Hastles, and- Co., an I another in Harpendiary's block. The total loss is nearly a million dollars. A fire that took place in Chicago on October 7th, burned over seven blocks. The loss is 500,000 dols. Qn October Bth a second fire occurred in Chicago, which destroyed 10,000 buildings. The loss is estimated at 150,000,000,d015.
