Itispeetor of Nuisances v. S. Wootton, John- Donovan, Dr. Halley, W. Jamison, Hugh M'Kee, and John Tanton — For allowing horses to stray within the Municipal bounds. Fined 5s each and costs of Court

The Bench remarked that horses and cattle had become a nuisance in the township by breaking fences and doing other damage, and great complaints were made. The Bench were determined to put a stop to it. On this occasion the fines would be light, but he would warn them that for the future the fines would be very much increased.

Police' v. J. Leech. — Leech was charged with being drunk and disorderly at Waipon. He pleaded guilty, and having been often before the Bench, for like practices, he was sent to gaol for 14 days with hard labour.
