A large fire occurred in Tnvt rcar^ill at three o'clock this morning. Tt commenced near the Bank of New Ze viand, which building was saved after great exertions. The Bank nf Otag » and ten other buildings were destroyed. The total loss is estimated at LBSOO, the insurance being only L 2500. In Committee of the Home, the consideration of the Stamp Duties was postponed. The Education- JBjJl has beea withdrawn. ■ " -
It is probable tnat the Goldfielda Bill will be withdrawn.
