Wednesday, July 28.

A meeting of the creditors of J. Heaps, a bankrupt, was held before W. L. Simpson, Esq., at the Courthouse, as all the creditors of the above-named bankrupt lived nearer to Lawrence than Dunedin. The creditors represented were Herbert & Co., Harris, and Gooday. Mr. Gooday appeared for Mr. Harris, and Mr. M'Coy for Herbert & Co. After some discussion, it was determined that the estate and effects should be allowed to vest in the Provisional Trustee.
