The following applications for residence areas were granted .' — William Forsyth, Waitahuna ; Michael Roughan, Blue Spur ; Samuel A . Miller, and Samuel Abrim, Wetherstones ; Samuel Hales, Gabriels Gully; Joseph W. Heaps, Beaumont ; Duncan M'Coll, Waitahuna ; William Jamison, Lawrence.

Applications by the following persons to construct dams were granted : — Wm. Millall and George Valkenburg ; Robert Ferguson and Andrew Ferguson ; Henry Detert, Henry Vye, Thomas Pope, Thos. Luscombe, Robert Coghill, and Charles Corbitt.
