MAIDEN PLATE, of 35 soys.; entrance, •2 guineas ; weight for age j distance, one and a half mile ; for horses that never won an advertised prize exceeding £10 ; PISTRICT HANDICAP, of 80 soys, with a sweepstake of 2 guineas each ; the second horse to receive amount accruing from sweep. Nominations, with 2 guineas enclosed, to be repeived by the Secretary up to 10 .o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 10th day of January. Weights to be declared in the "Tuapeka Times" of 12th January, and iv the " Daily Times " of 14th January. HANDICAP TROTTING RACE, of 30 soys. ; distance, 3 miles ; entrance, 2 soys. ; no weight under lOst. 111 b. JIACK SELLING RACE, of 20 soys.; entrance, £1 10s. ; one mile heats ; no weight under lOst. The winner to be sold by public auction for £20 ; The surplus (if any) to go to the Race Fund. SECOND DAY. PUBLICANS' HANDICAP, of 30 soys; distance, 1 mile. Nominations, with 2 guineas entrance fee, to be received up to 9 o'clock p.m. on Thursday, 19tli January. TOWN PLATE, of 75 soys. ; entrance, 4 guineas ; distance, two and a half miles ; weight for age. HANDICAP HURDLE RACE, of 40 sove. ; distance, two and a half miles ; over nine flight of hurdles, three and a half feet high ; entrance, 2 guineas. FLYING HANDICAP of 50 soys. Nominations, with one guinea enclosed, to be received by the Secretary up to 10 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, January 10th. Weights to be declared in th.c " Tuapeka Times" of the 12th, and in the "Daily Times" of January 14th. Acceptances, with 2 guineas, to be received by the Secretary up to 9 o'clock sp.ra. on Thursday, January 19th. Distance, one and a half mile. CONSOLATION HANDICAP, of 15 soys. ; for all beaten horses ; distance, one and a half-mile; entrance, 1 soy. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Mares and Geldings allowed 31b. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoeyer they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the Programme shall be final. No person shall be allowed to enter or run a horse for any race in this Programme (post eniry races excepted) unless the latter be qualified as the hona fide property of a subscriber to the Race Fund of not l6ss than two guineas. Entries to be received by the Secretary, j at his office, Peel-rstreet, Lawrenoe, up to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, 18th January. Entrance, money, enclosed with name, j age, and pedigree (If any) of the horse, and name of owner and polours of the rider. Any Jockey riding except in th.c eolqurs entered will be fined £2. Five per cent, will be deducted frpm the gross amount of all stakes, for expenses. Hcrses walking over will receive £0 per cent, of the stakes. The Tuapeka Jockey Club Rules will be strictly enforced. Parties entering protests will require to flpposit one fuijioa. Jf protest should be stained, the guinea to be returned. WM. HAVES, Secretary.
