Deer Sur, — Our rejoisings at the dounfal of meet, which was not brought about ontil we 'ad mcating, & resolved that we wood not pay such 'igh prises, was rather two premature, for it's rising again, sloely but surely. And now it has commenced, onless some check is brought to bear on it, there is no nowing wen it will stop. The bootchers, I know, are not getting any hextra profit since the rise, and from what I here, thej r are badly dealt by ; but if they will bye at a deer market, that is no reason that the public should do the same. I will give you a list of the prices charged hei'e and at Lawrence: —
I do not know why there should be such a difference. Is it because the traid is not moneypolised in Lawrence ? There are some hear who are watching and waiting, and should it rise any higher, they know of a safe and certain kure, wich they will lay before the public.
