THE PIG NUISANCE.

(To the Editor of the Tuapeka Times.)

Sir, — Can you inform me if the hundreds of pigs which are running on upper Tuapeka Groldfiolds are assessed the same as sheep and cattle 1 because if they are not it is shameful for the owners to allow them to be at large, and surely it is not in accordance with the instructions which the Inspector of the depasturing districts has received, The ground they are generally running on is rooted and nosed up in a fearful way, Is it within your knowledge to inform me if it would be legal to kill them as wild pigs I—l1 — I am, &c,

O.P.Q.

Tuapeka Mouth.
