Open to all bona fide residents in the Tuapeka and Waitahuna Goldiields Districts. RULES AND REGULATIONS. All competitors to be subscribers to the fund of not less than ss. Entrance money, each class, 2s 6d. Teams to be on the ground at 9.30 a.m. All entries to be left with the Secretary at the Tuapeka Tijtes Oifice, Lawrence, on or before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, the 17th August, and at Waitahuna, under covor, addressed to the Secretary, at Mr. Coghili's Hotel, on the same day, at 4 p. m. Depth of furrow, five inches. Ploughmen to find their own width. Each team to plough one-third of an acre. Time allowed — Horses, five hours ; bullocks, six do. Each ploughman to find his own poles, and no assistance allowed after the poles are set ; otherwise, disqualified.
