MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
(To the Editor of the TuapeJca Times.) Sir, — As we are shortly to be in the maze and excitement of municipal elections, don't you think it would be a move in the right direction to make it a sine qua non on the part of every aspirant for municipal honours to produce a certificate from Dr. Carr, or some other manipulator of heads. I think it would be manifestly preposterous to commit the future welfare of the first town on the goldfield 3to the charge of thoso who may not be able to come up to the orthodox cranial and facial requirements. As phrenology and physiognomy are now recognised as sciences, I respectfully call the attention of my fellow electors to the necessity of compliance with the above requirements in the caso of every candidate. — I am, &c, Punch.
