He told 'em wat he wood suply meet at ; but he turned out a gay deceiver. A comitee wus formed too carrie ont resolutions past at the meetin. The digers and pubblicans agreed to suport 'im. So, sais a partie most hinterested, "If that's yer game, I'll soon hash yer muton for yer." So, a nise little trap was set, which, fur a wunder, the bonyfaces did nut put their feet hinto. Beold noblers 3d ! wile he who dun it •was a hunwilling wictim led to the sacrifise. But he 'ad a Oabel around his neck, and need's must wen the devil drives. The best of it is, the pubblicans, with 2 exceptions, be it to their honor named, kissed the rod that warmed them ; so, well, sais I, seve 'em rite. Wen it was fuund it wood nut do the work intended, up goes the noblers to 6d., which I wery much regret, fur I size fur the days wen I wus halways abel too get a- good drink fur 3d.
