TUAPEKA AND WAITAHUNA DEPASTURING DISTRICT.
(To the Editor of the Tuwpeha Times.) Sir, — Can you inform me whether the Government have given the Inspector of the Tuapeka and Waitahuna Depasturing District an assistant in the execution of his arduous duties 1 or, whether the Inspector, knowing the vast district over which he has now the undisputed control, has found it necessary to employ an assistant on his own account, and, of course, to be paid from his own purse ? I ask this question as I have observed the Inspector and one of our reputed Waitahuna judges of brands scouring the country lately both early and late. — I am, &c, Inquisitive. Waitahuna, June 28th, 1870.
