TUAPEKA MOUTH SCHOOL.
(To the Editor of the Tuapeka Times.) Sir. — A correspondent in your last j issue states that the Tiiapeka Mouth Schoolhouse " as it now stands, is free J from debt ; " and if the reader looks to j the receipts and expenditure, he will readily suppose there is £5 3s. over ; but your correspondent forgot to inform you that there is a chimney to be put up, which will cost at least £12 ; there is likewise a double water-closet which is in course of erection, which will cost another £3. Now, I would not have troubled you with this letter, only we have a number of subscriptions unpaid, and it would not look well for the person who went to collect those subscriptions, after reading tho statement of a correspondent that the echoolhouse was free from debt, and £5 in the treasurer's hands — I am, &c, T. W. Mauler, Secretary.
