Napier, May 15th.

On the 6th instant 27 men and 38 women, who had been hiding in the Waioeka Gorge since Ropata's success, came to Opotiki and surrendered themselves. They say Te Kooti has not been seen lately, but is either at Wairnana or Lake Waikaremoana. Ropata's progress has been impeded by rains and floods. On the first day out he captured a woman and two children, who have been hiding in the bush since the capture of Ngatapa. Melbourne.
