His Honour sat at 11 a.m. M'Kee [yi-Motherwell.— Mr., Copland, solicitor, appeared for the defendant, and Mr. Keen_(fj*om Mr Ward's office) for the plaintiff. Mr. Copland asked His Honour to adjourn this case till Thursday, in order to allow the case of Best and others v. M'Nab and others to be taken, as the latter case would probably occupy a long time, and many witnesses were in attendance. His Honour said that he would adjourn
the case till Thursday at all events, but probably it might have to be adjourned still further, as he had to be in Tokomairiro on Saturday, but if necessary he would return next week. Mr, Keen suggested that the case might stand over until next sitting. His Honour said that h,o would at all events adjourn it till Thursday at present, and as Mr Copland stated that it would be inconvenient for his client if the case was adjourned till next sitting, he would hear it the present sitting if possible.
[The case Best and party v, M\lSFab and others wiis then commenced, an,d at the time of o.ur going to press, was not nearly concluded. We shall repor^. it as fully as possible in our next ]
