TUAPEKA HOSPITAL.
The monthly meeting of the Hospital Committeevwas held in the Commercial Assembly Rfbm on Tuesday evening last. Present — H. Bastings, Esq., President, in the chair, and the following members . <>* committee, viz. : — Messrs Farrer, HerM'Kinlay, Smith, M'Nickle, McHarrop, Simpson, Abel, Dr valley, and Hayes, secretary. Dr Stewart was also present. Before the meeting was opened a conversation took place with regard to an error in the date of the advertisement calling for tenders. Mr Harris handed in his tender late, and pleaded as excuse that he was under the impression that the date, 4th January, in the advertisement was an error for 4th April. It was also considered whether Mr Mears's tender, which, according to the Hospital clock, was one minute behind time, should be received. The committee agreed to receive both tenders, and to hold the meeting notwithstanding the error in the advertisement. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Finance report was received, and the Doctor's report for the month was laid on the table.
