THE FUMBLERS' ASSOCIATION.

(To the Editor of the Tkapeka Times. )

'Sic., — In your last issue, I noticed an advertisement calling a meeting of Fumblers, but unfortunately the advertiser dmitted either intimating the 'day or hour of meeting.' I trust the coroner will appoint a specified time, so that all closely concerned with one of the most beneficial societies which has ever existed may-have an opportunity of carrying out its replenishing tendencies, which have been found to be very great indeed, both in England and America.

For the information of those of your readers who may nojj be acquainted with the nature of these anniversaries, I may state that about midsummer every year it is very common for the Fuinblers to meet and discuss a purely vegetable supper, and- spend a most amusing Dight in chaffing each other, &c. Although as yet the result in my own experience has not been successful, yet so confident am I in the good which my own eyes have witnessed springing from these gatherings, that I will gladly join an association of the kind if formed in Lawrence. I have known Fuinblers of fifteen years' standing graduate from the ranks, and end- what would otherwise have been a cold aEd heartless life, in happiness and; peace. In counting on my fingerj* the Fumblers in and around Laurence, I find the number large enough to make a first-rate association, anct if the convener of the meeting will notify the place of meeting, I for one shall attend and use vay best in-,' fluence to bring a few brother Fumblers with me. — I am^&c, | A FTTitBLEB. .
