A COMPLAINT.

(To the Editor of the Tuapeka Times.)

Sib, — Can you inform me what the Lawrence Town Council is about — or, rather, the Public Works Committee ? For the last three months or more, the channel in front of Mr. M'Beath's and my property, in Boss Place, haa been in sua^-.a disgraceful state, that the Council ought to be ashamed of it, whilst a few shillings, spent in employing a man for one or two hours now and then, particularly after a heavy rainfall, would be all that is required to keep the channel free from filth and stagnant water.

Trusting this will have the desired effect to remedy- the nuisance, — I am., &c, - I<\ Meyer.
