Any Books will be thankfully received, and persons who have a few to spare are requested to send them either to the Resident Surgeon, at the Hospital, or to the undersigned. H. JOHN M'COLL begs to return his sincere thanks for the very liberal support he has received since commencing business in the Tuapeka District, and begs to announce that he has disposed of his Timber Yard, Saw Mills, and Business to Mr. W. D. MORKLSON, for whom he solicits a continuance of the large amount of support he has himself received. All Debts 'owing to Mr. M'Coll must be paid within seven days from the date hereof, or legal proceedings will be taken for the recovery of the same. Lawrence, October 2nd, 1869. Royai Chablie was bred by Mr Gardner, of Berwick. He was got by the wellknown imported Clydesdale stallion Prince Charlie, who took the Champion Cup for three years at the great Annual Show held in Melbourne, and was never beaten. Dam : a first-class imported mare, the winner of prizes. Royai Charlie is a dark bay, with great strength of bono and beautiful symmetrical action, stands 16 hands 3 inches high, and has proved himself a sure foal-getter. He has taken many First Prizes ; also, in 1866, he took the Second Prize against all imported ; in 1867 he took the Third Prize at the Tokomairiro Show ; and in 1868 he took the Second Prize at the Clutha Show.
