Messrs Driver, Maclean & 00. report — Prime Beef, 25s 6d to 35s 6d per 3001bs. Prime Mutton, 2|d to 3d per lb., in town. Store Cattle—Mixed mobs, £4 10s to £4. 15s i do. bullocks, two to four years, £5 to £6. Good Dairy Cows, £10 to £14. Store Sheep- Ewes, 2, 4, and 6 tooth, 73 6d to 8s each ; wethers, 4, 6, and 8 tooth, 6s 6d to 7s; weaners, equal - sexes, 10s 6d per pairMessrs. Weight, Stepheson, and Co. report, for the week ending the 2nd inst., as follows :—Pat Cattle—None yarded j ■ w« sold privately 20 head very prime bullocks, heavy weights, at Ll4; best beef is worth 30a; middling, 25s per 100 lbs. Fat Sheep — The market continues fully supplied with inferior quality j we quote prime mutton, 3d per lb, at which price we have sold 500. Sfcoro Cattle— Quotations are, bullocks, 3 years old and upwards, L 5 10a to L 6; mixed herds, L 4 lOu to L 5. Store Sheep—We have heard of no transactions in this description of stock* and quote 4, 6, and 8-looth wethers, 6s 6d to 78 ; ewes, 2, 4, and 6-tooth, 7a 6d to 8s each; mixed hoggetts, 10s to 11s per pair; Country Sales—At Mr Tuomas Lees, Law-_ rence, dairy cows brought from L 6 to Lll ; mixed stores, L 4 to L 5; steers and heifers, 6 to 18 months old, La to L 2 10s; light unbroken colts and fillies, L 5 10s. to L9 1 hacks, LlO to Ll7. Horses—No arrivals this week, nor have auction sales been held.
