EPITAPH.
Beneath this stone Old Peter Piper lieg, Who lived a life of charity and peace. The praises for his virtues reach the skies, And for his death regrets will never cease. Respected is the sacred plot of earth! Wherein he lies, amid the solemn gloom ; And zephyrs softly carol forth his worth, And sing their dirges o'er old Peter's tomb. Wetherstones, August 10th. J.
