A CORRECTION.
(To the Editor of the Tiiapehi Times.)
Sir, — In your last week's paper you have a paragraph lauding a certain butcher's wonderful capacity of judging the weight of a live pig. Happening to be present when the bet was made, I beg to acquaint you that your informant waa incorrect in Ms statement. The bet waa that the pig was not over 801bs weight, and instead of judging or guessing the exact weight of the pig, the astonishing butcher, whose praise yon send abroad,, was considerably off the marK You should be more particular in future with regard to such matters, and if you are not above advice, I would say,, be careful in making use of gentlemen's names in connection with betting matters. — I am, &c. fc Teuth.
