MR. DRIVER'S LETTER.

(To the Editor of the Tuapeka Times.)

Sir, — Yonr " strange disclosure," in the form of Mr. Driver's letter, has caused, immense excitement up country. People here would fain doubt the genuineness of the document, but its internal evidence is so forcible that any such "doubt is at once dispelled. If all in it is true with regard to Macandrew, he must be a great rogue ; but if it is merely bounce on the part of Mr. Driver, which I imagine it is, then it behoves Mr. Macandrew to vindicate his, position before the province, and thereby show up Mr. Driver as a ," wire-puller-and log-roller," as you well describe: such conduct. — I am, &c, Justice.. Teviot, July Ist, 1869.
