(From our Special Correspondent.^ . Wellington, June 25, 1869. The Government were defeated on the want-of-confidence motion, by a majority of eleven. It is rumoured that Mr. Stafford has resigned, and that Mr. Fox has been called on to form a Ministry. The defeat of the Stafford Ministry has been caused by the General dissatisfaction with, their management of native affairs. The numbers,' on a division, were — ayes, 40 ; noes, 29. Only three Otagan members voted with the Government, namely, Messrs. Bradshaw, Haughton, and Mervyn.
