Is life love so easy won, By a little oulword seeming^ ' By a casual eye-glanco gleaming ? '

Or % courtship scarce begun ? Think you souls are like to loses,

Borne hy any hand away ? Strife with care too oft uncloses To the one "who so.disposes "

Of a heart within a day. Hasty wooer, whispering Cupid

At first sight has fixed jiis dart In yonr very soul : how stupid' If you foundtyour day-dreams du'p6d,

And a shrew had won^our heart ! Yet i£ JJenuty, blossom laden,' Fall into your warm embrace, And you clasp'a radiant maiden'— ' Would you love her till the fading Left no tracejof useful grace ?

Hasty wooer, would this killing

Sense of rapture chariy you then ? Would the spelling 1 feeling filling ' All your veins" until tbe thrilling

Slakes your tongue confess the pain, Be as" warm as 'tis at present,

Or iis cool as yesterday, pr as sour as it ieoms pleasant,— Hasty wooer, pr'ytliee say ?
