DISTRICT HANDICAP, of 60 boys., v with a sweepstake of 2 soys. each ; the second horse to receive amount accruing from the sweepstakes. Nominations, with two guineas enclosed, to be received by the Secretary lip to 10 p.m. on AYcdnestlay, 10th Feb. The weights to be declared in the "Daily Times" on 13th February. Acceptances, with two guineas, together with sweepstakes of two guineas, to be received by Secretary before 10 p.m. on „ Monday, 15th February, 1869. HANDICAP TROTTING RACE, of 30 soys. ; distance, three miles; entrance, 2 soys. Optional saddle or harness. No weight under 103t. 111 b. MINERS' TURSE, of 20 soys. ; mile heats ; weight for age. All horses in this race must be the bond fide pro.perty of a working miner three months previous to the race. Entrance, 2 soys. Post entries. SECOND DAY. LADIES' PURSE, of 25 sovs.; entrance, ' 3 soys. ; gentlemen riders ; welter weights ; distance, two miles. TOWN PLATE, of 100 soys , second horse to receive 10 soys. out of stakes; distance, three miles ; weight for age ; entrance, 5 guineas. HURDLE RACE, of 30 soys. ; welter weights ; distance, 3 miles ; over nine flight of hurdles three and a half feet high ; entrance, 2 guineas. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out <jf the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all poim« connected with the currying out of the Programme shall be final. No person shall be allowed to enter or run a horse for any ra6e in tin's progran me (post entry races excepted) unless the latter be- qualified* as the bond fide property of a subscriber to the Race Fund of not less than two guineas. , Entries to be received by the Secretary, at his .office, Peel-street, Laurence, up to 9 -p.m. on Wednesday, 17tli February. Entrance money, enclosed with name, age, and pedigree (if any) of the horse, and name of owner and colors of the rider. Any Jockey riding except in the colors entered, will be fined £2. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes for expenses. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. The Tuapeka Jockey Club Rules will be Btrictly enforced.
