Open to all horses within a radius of 20 miles of Tapanui which have been in the district two months prior to the meeting. Distance, 2 miles. Entrance fee, £2 10s. Welter weights. 4th.— CONSOLATION STAKES, of 15 soys., for all beaten horses. 1 mile heats. Entrance fee, £1. Weights, list. RULES. 1.- Three horses to start, or no race. * -2. No person allowed to enter a horse unless a subscriber jof £2 2s. to the Race Fund, except the Hack Race, for which a subscription of £1 Is. will qualify. 3. Five per cent, deducted from all the prizes. 4. All riders to appear'in colours. 5. The decision of the Stewards in all cases to be final. 6. All objections to be lodged within ten minutes after the race has been run, .otherwise they will not be entertained. 7.
