THE LAND QUESTION.

Sik, —Although I have been and continue to be a warm supporter of the Laud League, yet I cannot .help feeling disgusted at so much agitation oeing necessary to procure simple justice. How long are we to groan under the yoke of Provincialism? How long are we to be taxed for the benefit of Dunedin ? Not much longer would be the answer if every person agreed with me, and petitioned the general Government to constitute Tuapeka a.county. I, at any rate, am sick of being governed Tiy Macandrew, with his numberless panaceas, and would be inclined to welcome any King Stork who would gobble up the present King Log. If Tuapeka was a county, "we should at any rate know where the money collected in the district went, and would have some kind of check on the governing board.
