Tho want of a sufficient supply of water is at present the great drawback to the successful -working of Switzer'B diggings. t There is only one race available at present, which consists of twelve head of water. The large sum of £15 is charged for each head. There is any quantity of ground in the district, the whole of which is considered payable. A.new race is in course of construction.
