The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company report:-At Te Awamutu on Saturday last we yarded 104$ head of cattle, and a •large number of buyers being present we had a most successful sale, all classes except 15-month old heifers being eagerly competed for. In all 108 head of beef were sold. Prices: Fat steers, £9 5s to £10103, fat cows £7 7s 6d to £9, lighter weights £6 6s to to £618s, killable cows £5 lis to £6, fat heifers £512s 6d to £6 2s 6d, empty cows £4 to £4 I7s Gd, Syr old steers in forward condi7s 6d to £7165, 2 to 2*yr old steers £4 15s to £5 ss, 20month to 2yr old steers £4 Is to £410s, 15-month old steers, £3 10s to £3125, yearling steers, £2 15s to £3 2s Cd, 15-mpnth heifers good quality, £3 5s to £3 Bs, yearling heifers £2 5s 6d to £2 10s, 'wearier'calves, £1 2s6d to £Uos, dairy cows £610s to £6155, shorn ewes 14s 6d, weaner pigs 12s to £1, slips and porkers £13s to £1 15s.
