It is announced that a new union of miners, to be called the Taupiri O.tlminoi's'' Employees Industrial Union of, Workers, has been formed at Huntly, and that its registration has bean effected. It is stated that the new union already has a good membership, and that applications for enrolment are coming to hand daily. . Although the new union.has been formed, and the preparations for resumption of .work at the mines have been completed, the general opinion is that the mines will not 'complete-opera-tions until after the New Year holidays. It is rumored that manV of those who are applying for enrolment in the new union are members of the old union. ■
